25 years later, we pause to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11th, 2001, the families forever changed, and the courageous first responders who answered the call in our nation’s darkest hours. We will never forget their bravery, sacrifice, and service.

In recognition of their continued dedication to our communities, the New Tampa Family YMCA invites all first responders to visit and enjoy our facility for free from September 11th-13th.

Members, please be aware that we will have adjusted hours on Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day. Please plan your visit accordingly:

⏰ Center: 5:00am-2:00pm
🏊 Pool: 5:30am-1:30pm
🧸 Stay & Play/Youth Zone: 9:00-11:00am

There will be no Group Exercise classes that day. Thank you for planning ahead, and we look forward to celebrating with you!

🏊‍♂️ BIG SWIM MEET THIS WEEKEND! 🏊‍♀️

We’re excited to welcome swimmers and families to the New Tampa Family YMCA for a big swim meet on Saturday, August 22, and Sunday, August 23!

Please note that the pool will be closed to members and guests during the meet and will reopen at 12:00 p.m. each day. The pool will remain in short course yards (SCY) throughout the weekend.

Please plan your swim time accordingly. Thank you for your understanding, and good luck to all our Stingrays competing this weekend! 💪🌊

For the past 25 years, Barb has been so much more than a staff member. She has been a mentor, a friendly face, a helping hand, and a source of encouragement for thousands of members, families, volunteers, and coworkers. Her kindness, compassion, and commitment to serving others have helped make the New Tampa Family YMCA a place where everyone feels welcomed and supported.

One of the Tampa YMCA's Strategic Plans is to Advance Leadership Development. Our two senior guards are taking the next step from their time here at the New Tampa Family YMCA.

Flynn will be the new Pool Manager at our South Tampa Family YMCA. He has led the New Tampa pool over the last two years with training and onboarding all our new guards.

Jesika will be the new Pool Manager at our East Pasco Family YMCA. She has led our swim instructors in group and private lessons. She has the natural talent to teach our children at their own level.

Please congratulate these two on their new roles and we know they are going to do wonderful things.
