Head of the Hillsborough Rowing & Paddling Regatta Festival continues Tampa’s tradition as a popular racing destination for rowing teams throughout the country. Head of the Hillsborough features a head race – a time-trial race in which rowers compete against the clock – along the mouth of the Hillsborough River. The regatta also includes races for paddle boards, kayaks and dragon boats. Head of the Hillsborough provides a family-friendly opportunity for the Tampa Bay community to enjoy rowing and other water racing competitions.
