This exercise builds calf strength, improves ankle mobility, and helps create more stability through your knees and hips. It’s one of my favorites lately because I’m getting back into running and want to build resilient ankles and knees and I have also noticed my arches collapsing a bit aka overpronation of the foot.

✅ Build calf strength (especially the soleus)
✅ Strengthen your ankles and intrinsic foot muscles to prevent collapsing arches and ankle sprains
✅ Strengthen the muscles and tendons that support your knees
✅ Improve balance and single-leg stability

This movement will help you move more efficiently in everyday life and the gym, especially if you’re a runner or athlete.

Your knees are only as strong as everything above and below them so it’s important to strengthen your quads, calves, ankles and foot control to stop your knees from absorbing all the impact.

Hip mobility is more complex than just a few random stretches, you want to build strength and control through rotation, flexion and extension.

Core strength is so much more than just visible abs. Strengthening the transverse abdominis, obliques, and adductors helps improve posture, spinal stability, breathing mechanics, pelvic control, and overall movement quality.

Exercises like banded dead bugs, Copenhagen planks, and bear planks with adductor squeezes teach your body how to create true stability from the inside out through intentional breathing and controlled movement.

A stronger core doesn’t just change how you look, it changes how you move and feel every day.
