What have you been allowing to define you lately?

Your job?
Your success?
Someone else’s opinion?
Your past?
Your current circumstances?

Ephesians 1 reminds us that if our identity is built on things that can change, our peace will change with them.

But in Christ, believers are chosen, adopted, redeemed, forgiven, given hope, and sealed with the Holy Spirit.

That means your worst moment does not have to become your permanent identity.

Your failure does not get the final word.

Rejection does not get the final word.

Your circumstances do not get the final word.

Jesus does.

So instead of asking, “What does my life say about me right now?” ask:

“What does God say is true because I am in Christ?”

If this encouraged you, save it and come back to Ephesians 1 this week.

And if someone came to mind while reading this, send it to them. They may need the reminder today.

Which truth do you need most right now: chosen, adopted, redeemed, forgiven, hopeful, or sealed by the Spirit?

The most dangerous response to God isn’t always “no.”

Sometimes it’s:

“Later.”

In Acts 24, Felix heard Paul speak about righteousness, self-control, and the coming judgment. The message affected him so deeply that Scripture says he became frightened.

But instead of responding, Felix said:

“Go away for now. When it is more convenient, I’ll call for you again.” — Acts 24:25

That verse challenges me because it’s easy to assume delayed obedience is still obedience.

But sometimes “later” is simply a more comfortable way of avoiding what God has already made clear.

Maybe it’s forgiveness.
Maybe it’s repentance.
Maybe it’s walking away from something.
Maybe it’s finally starting what God has been putting on your heart.
Maybe it’s surrendering an area you’ve been trying to control.

We don’t need perfect circumstances to take the next faithful step.

So here’s the question: What have you been telling God “later” about?

You don’t have to share the details, but if this spoke to you, comment “I’m ready” as a reminder to yourself that you want to respond differently.

And if someone came to mind while reading this, send them this carousel. They may need the reminder more than you realize.

Save this for the next time obedience feels inconvenient.

Jesus wins. Always. ✝️

What feels out of control to you is never out of God’s control.

In Acts 23, Paul was surrounded by conflict, opposition, and a hidden plot against his life. Yet before Paul could see how everything would unfold, the Lord met him in the uncertainty and said:

“Be encouraged, Paul.” — Acts 23:11

Then God began working through unexpected people and circumstances—Paul’s nephew, a Roman commander, Paul’s own wisdom, and an es**rt of 470 men.

Paul may not have recognized every act of protection while it was happening. Sometimes, neither do we.

The closed door.
The unexpected delay.
The wise warning.
The person who showed up at the right time.

We may not always understand what God is doing, but we can trust that He is present, sovereign, and able to work through circumstances we cannot yet see.

Where do you need to trust God more right now?

Nothing can separate you from the love of God. ✝️

No mistake.
No failure.
No fear.
No anxiety.

No season you’re walking through can separate you from the love of Jesus.

Sometimes our circumstances try to convince us that God has forgotten us, but His Word says the opposite.

“For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love…” — Romans 8:38–39

If you’ve been carrying a heavy heart lately, I pray this devotional reminds you that Jesus has never left you. He is with you right now.

❤️ If this encouraged you, comment “Jesus never leaves” below. I’d love to pray for you.

He’s not done with you yet.

God has planted a good seed within you, and He is faithful to continue growing it.

When you look at a beautiful tree, remember that long before anyone admired its branches, its roots were growing deep beneath the surface.

Our spiritual growth is often the same. God is doing some of His greatest work in the hidden places before anyone else can see the fruit.

If you feel like nothing is changing, don’t lose heart. Keep trusting Him. Stay rooted in Christ.

In His perfect timing, what He’s growing in secret will become visible for His glory.

What season are you in right now—growing roots or seeing fruit?

Even when we drift away from God his
Holy Spirit works on pulling us back in.
Keep your consciousness focused on Jesus Christ, he’s always with you - just call on his name🙏

Most people say they struggle with faith… but I don’t think that’s actually true.

The truth is, every single one of us lives by faith every day.

We sit in chairs expecting them to hold us.
We start our cars expecting them to run.
We eat food trusting it will nourish our bodies.

The real question isn’t whether you have faith.

It’s what you’re putting your faith in.

God isn’t asking us to have blind faith. He’s inviting us to trust His character—to believe that He is who He says He is and that He will do what He says He will do.

So today, don’t just put your faith in the things that were created.

Put your faith in the Creator. ✝️

Where are you placing your faith today? I’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
