EXTREMELY PROUD of the grit these girls showed this past weekend - after getting knocked into the loser’s bracket by the 1 seed, they battled all day on Sunday to get back to the championship series. They knocked off the 1 seed and forced a second championship game, but we unfortunately came up just short after an inspring run: 5 games back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back starting at 8AM, and they did it all with just 9 players (no subs)!

It’s not always about winning the championship - it’s about showing what you are made of and never backing down when the odds are stacked against you.

Proud of our South Tampa Thunder girls for battling all day to finish as Runner-Up!

We played 6 games on Sunday and had to grind our way out of the elimination bracket to finish in an all South Tampa championship. Lost to a great team 8-7: always fun playing each other and proud of our girls for grinding!

Huge thank you to the University of Tampa and Coach Katie Neubauer for hosting our girls yesterday for practice! Being able to play on your field is an experience these girls will never forget.

Very proud of our South Tampa Thunder 2011 girls! After 15 hours on the softball field yesterday, we went 4-1, only losing in the championship to our 2010 team. And awesome to have an all-South Tampa Thunder Championship. These girls all work hard and push each other to get better every day.

South Tampa must love some 🌮 🌮 🌮
