The image above shows the specofic acupuncture points that are part of our advanced body-alignment system.
When the points are aligned energetically, our bodies reorganize around them.
A student once asked me a question about how I aligned a particular part of my body, citing anatomical features, to which I replied: "I no longer think of my body anatomically when practicing, I think of aligning the points energetically.
I have a detailes lesson on these points in my Online Taich Academy. Find it in my linktree in my bio.

Gongfu (Kung Fu)

功 (gōng): Work, effort, merit, achievement,
Accomplished result of sustained effort

夫 (fu): Adult man, husband, laborer, the condition of being these

Together, 功夫 (gongfu) means the process of sustained effort and the skill/ability produced by that effort and the embodiment of that ability in a person.

Therefore, 功夫 gongfu (kung fu) not only applies to martial arts, but to any embodied skill.
It is not the particular skill itself, but the depth of transformation cultivated through training.

Gongfu is conditioning.

This is why traditional training in Chen Tai Chi focused on single, repeated movements and held postures with careful attention to alignment, release of tension, whole body coordination, and other characteristics of the art that build Tai Chi qualities into the body and mind.

Original Tao is a study of an ancient text called the Nei Yeh (or Neiye), which roughly translates as Inner Cultivation.

It's author and translator, Harold Roth, a professor of contemplative studies at Brown University, believes it may even predate the Tao Te Ching (The Classic of The Way and its Virtue/Potency, attributed to the father of Taoism, Laozi/Lao Tzu), making it thevoldest extant Daoist text.

Where the Tao Te Ching is predominately a philosophical text, the Nei Yeh focuses on cultivating De (inner power or potency) through stilling the Xin (heart-mind).

I believe it is a must-read for anyone wishing to go deep into their Tai Chi/Taoist practice.

Look for upcoming videos on the Darsana Martial Arts Youtube channel covering the text.
