The Tallahassee Soccer Association (TSA) is an adult recreational league affiliated with the Florida Adult Soccer Association and the United States Amateur Soccer Association. As a recreational league, the competitive aspects of the game are secondary in importance to the recreational and social aspects. Membership is open to men and women who are 18 years of age or older. To join, you simply need
to submit a membership form and pay the appropriate dues. A membership form with a fee schedule can be found on our website or can be obtained from any Board Member at a TSA sponsored event. Membership dues are good through August 31st of each year and must be renewed on an annual basis. TSA offers two types of soccer play: league play/pickup games and you must be a member to participate in any of these games. Social Media Ground Rules
Per TSA Bylaws: The page, Facebook Group, and Instagram constitute a TSA 'venue'. Conduct on these pages must be in a manner consistent with the philosophy of TSA. Improper conduct may result in suspension or expulsion from the pages and general TSA membership. Members of this group agree to the following social media TSA rules:
1.) No bullying or hate speech
a. We are a community that welcome everyone who wants to learn more about and play soccer in TSA. Anything negative that does not follow our mission will not be allowed.
2.) Treat Others with Respect (including the Board)
a. Ensure everyone feels welcome and can have their voice heard by sharing encouragement and treating members with respect. Posts and responses should be respectful and made in such a manner that is peaceful, with the goal of reaching feasible solutions in mind. Foul language and/or images will not be tolerated. Be respectful of members and all board members in terms of response time. Often people expect immediate responses on social media and too often the “black holes” of comments and back-and-forth dialogue gets out of hand. Nobody should be expected to respond immediately or engage in perpetual comments that are not productive. Do not expect board members to constantly reply to comments.
3.) Most importantly, have fun! We are here to build friendships and a community.
4.) Issues/Concerns
a. If issues arise these need to be sent to the Board through the TSA email. Please send us a direct message and the Board will be happy to help address your concern. Email is the most professional and preferred means of raising complaints. All board members have access to the TSA email and are expected to check it regularly.
5.) Any attitude or actions counter to the TSA spirit of fun, safe, and inclusive play is prohibited and may result in removal from group, suspension of play, or membership.
6.) Promotions, products, or spam
a. Permitted to be posted once per month as not to crowd our “wall” and detract from important TSA announcements. If you post more than once per month, the TSA Board will delete your posts.
