Black Dragon Kung Fu Kung Fu School From Sifu Les:

The purpose of our school is to provide students with a basic understanding in the ways of Chinese Kung Fu.

I would like to begin by clearing up some common misconceptions about Kung Fu, before delving any deeper into the subject matter. Firstly, Kung Fu is not a sport in any shape or form. With such a wide variety of martial styles permeating our culture, and especially with the rise of competitive fighting such as mixed martial arts, kick boxing etc, it’s easy to associate Kung Fu with mainstream idea

s of competitive fighting sports. Conversely, Kung fu is an art rather than a sport. It encompasses a full system of sacred sciences essential to survival such as medicine, diet, healing, meditation, spiritualism, all aspects of combat possible, as well as any other major facet of life. I started practicing Kung Fu in 1987, 12 years later I opened my first school in Tallahassee, Florida. It's my honor to put my skills to work for any student who wishes to learn.

Just heard the news my kung fu brother Jackson was promoted to Sifu. We trained together in Tallahassee for many years until his career took him to California. By his diligence he continued to train, traveling to other schools to grow and refine, including returning here many times, and working closely with Clements in our sister school in Oregon. Really proud for the guy.
