North Florida School of Aikido North Florida School of Aikido (also known as North Florida Aikikai) is a traditional dojo that offers a principled based study of Aikido and self defense.

Aikido is a traditional Japanese martial art that has a strong emphasis on martial principles, self defense and aiki development. it is a martial art that relies on the use of your opponents strength to defeat an opponent's attack

. We are a 501c3 non profit school with the sole mission of teaching Aikido and practical self defense.

It was an inspiring seminar this weekend with Tim Mcgill Sensei from the Shindai dojo in Orlando. The theme of the seminar was uplifting Aikido and focused heavily on kokyunage movements. On a deeper level is about using aikido members do uplift the individual. We were able to shoot some demo videos showing the power of kokyunage techniques.
