Tahoe City Winter Sports Park The Tahoe City Winter Sports Park offers ice skating, XC skiing, sledding and snowshoeing in the hear A full service bar and restaurant are on site.

The Sports Park is a collaborative effort between Tahoe XC Ski Area, the Tahoe City Public Utility District and the Tahoe City Golf Course to bring winter recreation to the heart of Tahoe City on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. Enjoy affordable outdoor activities such as ice skating, XC Skiing, Snowshoeing and Sledding. A cozy day lodge and outdoor fire-pits are open to the public daily during the winter season, see website for park hours and dates of operation.

🚧Winter Sports Park/Golf Course Trail Closure Notification🚧
Please note that out of abundance of extreme caution, we have closed our Park/Course for public access. The snow throughout the area may look hard, however, during the melting process, there are many dangerous soft areas or areas containing pockets of air that are leading to deep and/or treacherous sinkholes. Thanks for another great season at the Tahoe City Winter Sports Park! We appreciate the community’s love for the park. We love it too and look forward to seeing you again in November.

Each year, we aim to close the park in early March, even if Tahoe is experiencing a record setting winter like this year. Temperatures and the sun’s position this time of year can make it hard to keep the ice puddle-free and safe for skating. We also shift operations to the Tahoe City Golf Course to get ready for golfers to arrive in April or May, depending on weather of course.

The trails are still open and we will continue to groom as long as possible. Skiers, walkers, and dogs are welcome, but please be sure to clean up after your furry friends!
