With big hearts and the hope of making a difference, nine people pushed off into a snowstorm in the dark for the very first Skate the Lake in 2005.

Who would have imagined that those nine people would grow into thousands of passionate supporters united by one mission—to make a difference.

That first event raised $3,800. Together, we’ve now raised more than $1.2 million for Boarding for Breast Cancer, helping create awareness, support education, and ultimately save lives.

Looking back, it’s incredible to see how far this journey has come. The last photo is of the founders, Curt and Chuck, and we’re beyond grateful to everyone who has been part of this amazing family along the way.

The countdown is officially on for the 22nd Annual presented by LivOn Labs, and we can’t wait to roll with you in Lake Tahoe next weekend!
Saturday, August 1st: Community celebration at
Commons Beach from 12-7. Live music from The E-Regulars and local bands, Yoga, Beverages, Auctions, Raffles & breast education.
• Sunday, August 2nd: Skate-bike-roll, from Sugar Pine State Park to Palisades Village at Auld Dubliner Tahoe at noon and rolling back down to the finish line at Commons Beach for an awards celebration.
Whether you’re skating, biking, blading, or cheering from the sidelines, every registration helps support B4BC’s breast cancer education, prevention, and survivorship programs while bringing our incredible community together for an unforgettable .

Yeah, what up y’all first no report of the season figured I’d get things going and let you guys know the real deal. Gonna try to get back on the game and give you guys snow condition reports like every winter and here’s the first one. Looks like we’re gonna get a little more just in time for the holidays and we got a couple resorts opening this weekend but right now it’s cold. It’s snowing and we’re looking pretty good up here . Hope everyone is good happy Sunday. Hope you’re enjoying a nice cocktail maybe at Chris bowl of w**d or just some non-alcoholic eggnog and a hot fire will do .

We’ll be pushing along the iconic Southern California Strand - from the Santa Monica Pier to Redondo Beach (a beautiful 15-mile skate-bike-roll with an 8 mile drop-in at Dockweiller Beach)! BBC invites everyone - all wheels, ages, and skill levels - to push, roll, or pedal with us.
