The Broken Arrow Skyrace, powered by Salomon, is a three-day event held at world-famous Palisades Tahoe. Elite and recreational participants will experience an unforgettable trail running experience “where the mountains meet the sky” showcasing the beauty of Lake Tahoe. Designed in the vein of classic European Skyraces, the Broken Arrow Skyrace represents a unique style of mountain running, characterized by off-trail scrambling on steep terrain with massive amounts of vertical gain and loss at altitude....with exposure, hand lines, a ladder and snow slopes thrown in for good measure!

Broken Arrow Family, we’re heading back to the Palisades Tahoe 🏔️

With just 289 days until the 2027 Broken Arrow Skyrace presented by ACG, it’s time to reconnect on the trails and get a preview of what makes Broken Arrow so special.

Join us at Palisades Tahoe on Saturday, October 3 for our annual Course Preview & Training Run.

This year features two distance options, making the event more accessible than ever while keeping all the things that make Broken Arrow special: epic climbing, Tahoe views, aid station support, great food, sponsor giveaways, demo gear, and an unforgettable post-run celebration.

Short Course | $30
• 6.2 miles | 2,100 ft gain
• Red Dog Ridge climb (1,400 ft in 1 mile)
• Summit at KT-22
• Coffee & light breakfast included
• Post-run meal available as a $17.50 add-on

Long Course | $50
• ~3,000 ft of climbing at altitude
• Guided by course directors Steve Hammond & Jason Wilkins, race director Brendan Madigan, and local runners
• Aid stations at KT-22 & Siberia
• Coffee, breakfast, and post-run meal included

Thank you so much for joining us for the 2026 Broken Arrow Skyrace, presented by — our 10th Annual.

By now, the adrenaline has worn off, the finish line is behind you, and "real life" has come knocking. And the truth is… we miss you. Even with Western States rolling into town, the mountain feels a little too quiet. We keep catching ourselves replaying the cowbells, the summit cheers, the hugs at the line — and wishing we could do it all over again tomorrow.

But here's the good news: that ache is exactly what fuels us. We can't wait to get to work building 2027 into something truly special — and today we're already sitting in a place of deep reflection and even deeper gratitude.

First and foremost, we are profoundly grateful for YOU. The Broken Arrow Skyrace has always been about building and sustaining a community, and that means celebrating ALL runners.

We also have to take a real moment to talk about our presenting partner, ACG — because this year was unlike any before it. From the very first sketch, we co-developed nearly every aspect of this event hand-in-hand with their team. The branding you saw across the mountain? Designed together, and we couldn't be prouder to have showcased it to the world. The reimagined start line, the free tram rides, the activations woven through the village, the investments in Trail Futures and the next generation of mountain runners — all of it was built side by side.

What mattered most to us was protecting the soul of Broken Arrow — that scrappy, mountain-town heart that has defined this race since day one — and ACG understood that from the very start. Together we found the balance: honoring the vibe you've come to love while amplifying race weekend in ways we simply couldn't have pulled off on our own. The result reached far beyond the start line — runners, spectators, and the next generation of youth trail enthusiasts alike. That kind of weekend doesn't happen without a partner who believes in this community as deeply as we do.

As runners ourselves, we know that the Monday after race weekend can feel a bit deflating. The adrenaline wears off, the finish line is behind you, and "real life" comes knocking. You might even ask yourself, "Did that amazing weekend just happen…or was it a figment of my imagination?"

Good news: it was very, very real — and we have the proof.

Go find yourself. That moment cresting the snowfield with the whole valley behind you. The grit on your face at the cut-off you swore you wouldn't make — and did. The arms thrown up as you hit the line. The dance party that swallowed you whole the second you stopped moving. The human tunnel of cheering strangers you ran through, where the last finisher got roared in just as loud as the first. It's all there.
