It saddens us to share that Tahlequatics will be closed for the remainder of the year. 💙

This was not an easy decision, and we know this is disappointing news for our community—especially for those who were looking forward to enjoying the pool during these final weekends of summer.

Ultimately, the safety of our patrons has to come first. Unfortunately, we do not have enough lifeguards to safely staff the pool for the next two weekends, and we cannot responsibly open without adequate coverage.

Our lifeguards are primarily teenagers who return to school in the fall, with some heading off to college and many balancing sports, activities, and other commitments. While we were fortunate to have a great group of lifeguards this season, we simply were not able to retain enough staff to safely make it through the entire pool season.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who visited Tahlequatics this summer and supported our pool and lifeguards. We know how much this facility means to our community, and we share your disappointment in ending the season early.

We will be taking a close look at our lifeguard staffing and operations during the off-season to determine what we can do differently to help prevent this from happening again.

Update regarding the City Splash Pad....

💦 LAST SPLASH OF THE SEASON! 💦

This weekend will be the last weekend the City Splash Pad will be open for the season! ☀️

The final day to enjoy the Splash Pad is Sunday, August 23rd.

Come cool off and enjoy one last splash before the season comes to an end! 💙

🚨 WELLING RIDGE TRAILS IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE 🚨

Due to an excessive amount of downed trees, tree limbs, and debris throughout the trail system, Welling Ridge Trails is CLOSED and currently unsafe for all trail users.

Please stay off the trails while our volunteers work to assess the damage, remove debris, and make the trail system safe again. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the cleanup process. If you would like to help remove debris during this weekend’s volunteer opportunity, please sign up using the link in the comments section of this post. We will post updates here as trails are cleared and reopened.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Tahlequatics will be closed this weekend, August 15–16.

We expect to reopen next Saturday, August 22. We appreciate your understanding and hope to see you back at the pool soon!

Reminder: the Tahlequatics will be open on Saturdays and Sundays only from 12:00pm to 7:00pm. The last day the pool will be open for the 2026 season is Labor Day, Monday, September 7th, from 12:00pm to 7:00pm.

🏊 Pool Hours Update

Starting August 1, Tahlequatics will be open Saturdays and Sundays only from 12:00 PM–7:00 PM.

The final day of the season will be Labor Day, Monday, September 7.
