While you’re busy enjoying your vacation, your dog might be doing exactly this—lounging in the shade, surrounded by friends, soaking up the peaceful countryside.

That’s the kind of vacation we want for them, too.

Finding the right place for your dog isn't just about availability.
It's about trust.

For many of our clients, their dog is family. They want a place where their dog is known, cared for, and genuinely enjoys their time away from home.

That's why we've built The Dog Farm around a few simple principles:

• Keep things small
• Know every dog individually
• Balance play with rest
• Build relationships before training
• Never compromise on safety

We aren't trying to care for the most dogs. We're focused on caring for each dog well.
That's the difference.

Years spent training, living with, and learning from our own dogs shaped the foundation for how we work today.

That experience later expanded into our dog performance team, The Marvelous Mutts, where focus, communication, and training matters a lot.

Over time, those experiences helped shape our approach to training and care:
thoughtful observation, consistency, structure, and understanding the individual dog in front of you.

Because good training matters.

A play bow is one of the clearest ways dogs communicate friendly intentions with each other.

It’s how they say:
“I’m playing.”
“This is still fun.”
“Want to keep going?”

Good social dogs use communication like this constantly during play.
They pause.
Reset.
Re-engage.

And these little moments tell us a lot about how comfortable and appropriate the interaction is between the dogs.

Healthy play is not just movement.
It’s communication.

Living on-site shapes everything we do.

It allows for consistency, close observation, and a level of care that isn’t possible in a shift-based environment.

We see the small changes.
We adjust when needed.

That’s how we maintain a calm, structured environment for every dog here.
If you're planning early summer travel, May and June currently have availability.

Training is part of how we approach every dog’s stay here — whether they’re here for Boarding or Immersive Training.

Before any dog goes outside, they sit and wait to be released.
Not just training dogs.
Every dog.

This isn’t about control — it’s about clarity.

Dogs do best when expectations are consistent and easy to understand.

By reinforcing simple behaviors like this throughout the day, dogs learn:
• Patience• Focus• How to respond to guidance

Even during boarding, these small moments matter.
Because good behavior isn’t built in a single session it’s built through repetition in everyday routines.

Not every dog needs more activity.

Some dogs need space to slow down. To have calm, one-on-one time with a person. Like at home.

For dogs like Lincoln, this is where they begin to settle.
They start to feel comfortable in the environment.

Quiet time is one of the personalized options we offer for dogs who benefit from some calm time during their stay.

You shouldn’t have to choose between traveling and your dog’s wellbeing.
For a lot of our future clients, that’s the real question- where their dog will be—and how they’ll feel while they’re away.
We’ve built the dog farm with this in mind.
We welcome a small number of dogs at a time so each one is truly known. And they know each other.
Play is thoughtful. Rest is part of the day. The environment stays calm.
Dogs don’t just pass through here.
They settle in.
And that’s what allows our clients to leave—and actually enjoy their time away.

If you’re planning travel this season, you can start the conversation through our website.
