A follow up post to the last one: When I said a couple of singlespeed bikes, I meant it. Here’s the frame that help shape a brief and sweet period of racing, when ‘cross bikes were built from random parts lying around and your brakes never really worked.
This bike came into the shop as an around town flatbar setup, but the rider wanted to go back to drops for racin’. One thing led to another and then we added some gucci brakes, a newly built/used tubeless wheelset, some gold housing, and then the single speed brake levers (no shifty bits). All the parts were dug up and cleaned from the shops used bin and repurposed for this build. The only thing that was not cleaned was the frame and fork; they’re sporting mud, coffee, brake dust, and maybe some blood from past seasons. This bike will also be partying up North in Bellingham for .
