September 15 - October 15 is Hispanic & Latine Heritage Month! We celebrate the people, cultures, and traditions of Hispanic and Latine communities and recognize the many ways they enrich the world around us. At Dockyard, we’re grateful for all community members from our supporters, volunteers, and officials to our skaters, like Punky and Speeding Beauty, whose presence helps make our league and community stronger!

To support Hispanic & Latine Heritage Month, check out a local community-based non-profit, Mi Centro! Mi Centro is committed to their mission of cultivating the advancement of the Latino and Indigenous communities by providing social services, educational programming, and honoring heritage and culture through the arts. Their programming and goals are centered on the provision and accessibility of holistic community support: promoting community engagement, empowerment, and self-sufficiency not only for their target population, but also to include the LGBTQ+, Afrolatine, and more. For more information about their programs or how to donate, visit their website https://micentrowa.org
