The tournament is this Saturday! Just a couple housekeeping things before the day of

Morning schedule:
Check in: 8am
Welcome and competitor/seconds huddle: 830-9
Pools start at 9am sharp!

We've added one more pool so there's also a change to the match timing to ensure we stay on time this year. Rather than running a 2min fight clock, we'll be running a 3.5minute continuous clock thatbonly stops for unusual things like gear/tech issues and judge deliberations

Call to all volunteers and fighters. This Saturday November 1st, 7 Swords will be hosting another judges/director/seconds training day from 2-5.

this is the last one before the tournament so if you would like to get so practice fighting under the ruleset, as a judge or director, or if you are a volunteer second cornering for new people, this is the last chance before the event.

Also if you just want to come to fence and help our judges improve you are welcome.

We're looking for volunteers for a couple of positions: seconds (description below), judges, and general volunteers

Expectations of seconds
- Advocate for your fencer
E.g. Telling the director to be louder if the fighter can't hear them, if they are hurt, exhausted or can't continue, etc.
- Assist with gear and gear malfunctions
- Offer feedback and advice to your fencer if they want it

Hello everyone on October 4th and November 1st we will be running a judges and director training event from 2-5 at Seven Swords Academy to prepare judges and directors for a beginners tournament on November 8th. If you are interested in judging we would like if you could come to one but is not required. If you would like to direct you are required to come to at least one of the training events. Our goal is to try and create a judging and directing crew that is as consistent as we possibly can.
