There are many high schools in Washington. That thought has passed from generation to generation.

There are many wrestling programs as well, but there is only one Moses Lake wrestling program. Founded in 1952 by Eric Beardsley, the Moses Lake wrestling tradition has been special from day one. Coach Beardsley moved to college wrestling in 1959, but left the legacy of “Great Expectations” with the Moses Lake program. The Moses Lake wrestling program is a powerhouse in the history of Washington state wrestling. They have won 41 district championships. After 52 years of state wrestling tournaments, Moses Lake has been a top 10 finisher in 46 of the 52 years. With 17 state titles, the first coming under Beardsley in 1959, and 11 second-place finishes, there is no doubt the Moses Lake program has been a constant in the Washington state high school wrestling. With 57 individual state champions, 46 second-place finishers, and 36 third-place recipients, it is no wonder Moses Lake has been so dominant as a team. They have had a total of 207 wrestlers place at the state championships. Spencer Wolfe was the first of many two-time state champions. Some could argue that the Moses Lake wrestling program provided a form of leadership in the development of the sport state wide. One of the greatest things about this program is the extreme sense of pride the community carries. “Support is a rewarding thing,” according to former head coach, Ron Seibel, and the Moses Lake community gives the wrestling program plenty of it.

RedNeck Duals Wrestling Camp 2026 was a fun time. Lots of great matches. Great bonding time. Our wrestlers showed a lot of grit. Had a few wrestle for Othello and were getting double the matches. These guys wanted the mat time. Big shout out to Vincent Hunt (120lbs/126lbs) upcoming sophomore went 19-0 and had a great performance. Duane Zamora for covering 2 weight classes 157/165 in each dual. Lost my stat book but I believe he was 25+ matches with only 2 loses at 165. We also brought 4 Moses Lake Lady MAVS Kamaliah, Bella, Meci, and Elia they did an amazing job in the girls division. Let’s give all our Moses Lake Wrestlers a lot of love for battling it out these last 3 days. Great job MAVS!
