Summer may be winding down (sort of 😎), which means it’s time to move our General Meetings back to the SandBar & Grill!

⛵️ THE FALL POINT SERIES KICKS OFF THIS SATURDAY! ⛵️

The CYCT Fall Point Series is back, and we’re kicking things off this Saturday, September 12th, with the Point Robinson Race! 🌊

📍 Start: 10:00 AM outside Brown’s Point Lighthouse
⏱️ Time Limit: 6 hours

🏴‍☠️ NEED CREW? WE’VE GOT CREW!

Don’t let an empty spot on the roster keep you at the dock. Eric Johnson, our CYCT Crew Coordinator, has a list of sailors who have RSVP’d that they’re interested and available to crew for some or all of the Point Series races.

🏆⛵ IT’S AWARDS RACE DAY! ⛵🏆

Wednesday night racing may be done for the year, but we’re not quite ready to put the boats away yet! Tomorrow is our Awards Race & Ceremony, so come out and help us celebrate another great year of racing with CYCT. 🍻

🏁 Awards Race:
Saturday, August 22nd
11:00 AM start
Last finish approximately 2:10 PM

🎉 Awards Celebration:
Starting around 3:00 PM at the Clubhouse at Tyee Marina
🏆 Awards ceremony around 4:00 PM, depending on when boats and crews make it in

🍗 CYCT will provide Ezell’s chicken and baked beans.
🍺 BYOB
🥗 Bring something to share!

Whether you raced every Wednesday, crewed when you could, helped on race committee, or just cheered everyone on from shore, come celebrate a fantastic season with us!

⛵ Save the Date: Crew & Skipper Meetup ⛵

CYCT is teaming up with the Tacoma Women’s Sailing Association and The Mountaineers to host a Tacoma-area Crew & Skipper Meetup!

With Wednesday night racing kicking off, this is a great chance to connect skippers with crew; especially for those of you freshly starting your sailing classes and ready to get more experience out on the water. If you’re looking for a ride, have a boat and need crew, or just want to meet more folks in the local sailing community, come hang out!

Spring is calling… and it’s time to race 🌊⛵

Join us for the first race of our Early Spring Series of Wednesday night PHRF racing! First start is THIS Wednesday, April 8th is at 7:00 PM, with a 1.5-hour time limit; just enough to shake off the midweek dust and get your sailing fix in.

No boat? No problem. It’s not too late to register your boat or jump aboard as crew and be part of the action.
