Mr. Scott Lee Anderson, 58, was found alive today! He was reported by family members as missing on Aug. 17. An investigation and search concerning his disappearance has been on-going since then.

A family member found Mr. Anderson in the garage of the residence at approximately 12:45 p.m.

Mr. Anderson is presently undergoing medical evaluation and treatment.

Sheriff’s detectives continue with the investigation.

Having a family member or friend go missing is quite emotional and tragic. Members of KCSO are committed to taking every reasonable step necessary to locate Mr. Anderson.

KCSO responded Monday to investigate the report of Scott Anderson missing. Our Search & Rescue (SAR) coordinators with specialized training were called in to lead the search.

SAR have utilized the Kitsap County Search Dogs for a ground search, KCSO Unmanned Aerial System (Drone) for an aerial search and the KCSO Marine Unit for a shoreline search.

Although Mr. Anderson's disappearance is quite unusual, there is currently no indication of criminal activity.

Social media and law enforcement bulletins have been sent out in an effort to bring awareness and assist in leads to locate Mr. Anderson. He has been entered into the national database as a missing person, in case any law enforcement agencies come in contact with him.

Search in progress for North Kitsap man.

Kitsap County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue deputies & detectives are looking for a 58 year-old Kingston man.

Scott Lee Anderson is believed to have left his residence in the 21800 block of Virginia Place NE sometime after 9:30 p.m. Sunday.

He is believed to be on foot - all family vehicles are present.

Anderson is missing under unusual circumstances not considered a crime.

A construction manager for a Kirkland-based company, Anderson telecommuted with his employer and construction work force daily. He was not heard from today.

Description: height: 5’ 10”, weight: 195 lbs., hair: gray, eyes: blue. No definitive clothing description provided, other than he may be wearing a pullover sweater.

Anyone who may have seen Scott Anderson or know of his whereabouts are asked to contact Kitsap 911 or 360.308.5400, or Detective Eric Adams at 360.509.7008.
