2023 has been a wild ride! We put up another undefeated season and this time took our talents all the way to the GDFL national championship in Washington D.C. In the end, we were narrowly defeated by the Racine Raiders. But our mission to take the best local talent and display them on a national scale is far from over. The board of the West Sound Rebels have officially voted to merge into the Grit City Knights and officially cease operation. Unfortunately, that means that we will not be returning for the 2024 GDFL or WCPML seasons on the semi-pro level. However, the Rebels legacy is far from finished. Of that, you can be confident.

However, we would like to take a moment to thank all our tireless board, staff, coaches, players, fans, and sponsors for all the support over the last couple years! Coaches like Head coach Sam Smith, OC Anthony Kinney Sr., Coach Patrick Clark, and Coach Brian Mrbgood Mann were with us every step of the way building this team into the juggernaut it became! You guys make all this possible and left us a legacy to be proud of and a roadmap for the future PNW football!

We were blessed to be able to play this sport we loved surrounded by so many great and hardworking people! We can't thank everyone enough and look forward to seeing where our players, coaches, and staff go next! Go Rebels!

Congratulations to all our players and coaches on putting Washington State football on the map with a 26-24 victory over the Inglewood Blackhawks! Next stop! Washington DC and Gridiron Bowl XIV!

📌The West Coast Conference Finals kicks off THIS SATURDAY (8/26/2023) in Tacoma in 4pm, one final stop before the GDFL National Championship game! For the first time ever, Washington state will be the host site for a nationally ranked out-of-state contender and the GDFL conference championship! The #4 ranked Inglewood Blackhawks travel to take on Washington's own #2 West Sound Rebels in semi-finals action this weekend! One team will punch their ticket to the national championship game. One team will go home with nothing. Win or go home! It all comes down to this!

📍General Admission: $15
$12 Military & First Responders w/ID
$10 for Teens 17-12
(Kids under 12 are FREE)

No game this weekend! Instead, the Grit City Knights play the Seattle Seminoles at 6pm at Bethel HS/Art Crate Stadium in Spanaway, WA.
