What happens when courtesy is tested in a tough moment?

In April, we focused on Courtesy. In May, we level up with Self Control because knowing the right thing to do only matters if we can choose it when it is hard.

This month, we are helping students stay focused, manage emotions, and make strong choices on the floor, at home, and at school. Self Control helps us become our own leader and create the circles we want to be in so we can succeed in whatever we pursue.

Reminder: make sure your student turns in their April Lesson of the Month paper by the end of the week to be entered into our prize drawing.

We are celebrating the incredible moms and dads that support our students every single day. Join us for Parent Appreciation Day where parents get to jump on the mats and train alongside their child.

💲 $15 to register

During this special class:
• Moms can earn their Pink Belt
• Dads can earn their Camo Belt
• Parents who already have one can earn a Veteran Parent Stripe

This is a fun opportunity to experience karate with your student and celebrate how awesome our EMA parents are.

Big congratulations to one of our students for earning a Future Black Belt! 🎉

A Future Black Belt is a small step toward the big goals we chase every day in martial arts. This recognition is all about effort and attitude, and she’s been bringing both. Her focus has been awesome.

Parents, need a few hours? Maybe something fun and high energy for the kids?

We have you covered.

Our Medieval Mayhem Parent Night Out is coming up, and it is going to be a blast for our Youth Program students ages 9 to 15.

We are building castles… and then tearing them down.

Add in pizza, safe sword fights, games, and a whole lot of energy, and you have a night your student will not stop talking about.

Event Details:
Friday, April 17
7:00 to 9:00 PM

Spots are limited, so make sure you sign up before it fills.

If you register using the email link, please stop by the front desk before the event to leave your student’s allergy info and an emergency contact for the night.

Please plan to pick up your knights and goblins on time. Pickups more than 10 minutes after the event ends will have a $25 late fee.

What does confidence look like at its best?

In March, our students worked hard to build exactly that. Learning to believe in themselves, act, and step onto the floor with purpose. Real confidence doesn't need to announce itself or be boastful.

Real confidence is calm, it's controlled, and its kind.

That's why April's Lesson of the Month is Courtesy.

Courtesy is what separates someone who's confident from someone who's worth following. It's the student who listens when an instructor is talking. The training partner who encourages instead of dismisses. The kid who walks out of the studio still carries themselves with the same respect they showed inside.

This month, we're challenging every student to show respect on and off the floor. We want them to lead by example with kindness and not just skill and use their confidence to lift the people around them.

Don't forget to complete your Lesson of the Month skillsheet and turn it in for your shot at our prize drawing!

Let's continue to build confidence and cultivate leadership in our students.

🥋 Buddy Week is Coming to Evolutionary Martial Arts! 🥋

Spring Break is the perfect time to show your friends how awesome karate is at Evolutionary Martial Arts!

During Buddy Week on Application Day (Wednesday and Thursday classes), April 1st and 2nd, our Jr. Samurai and Youth Program students can invite a friend to join them in class.

Students get the chance to hang out with their friends and share their martial arts hobby together on the mat. Do not forget to give your friend the Buddy Week invite card your Sensei gave you in class!

Classes will still follow the normal class schedule, so make sure your friend comes ready to move, learn, and have a blast.

🌸 Spring Break at Evolutionary Martial Arts 🌸

Good news! We will remain open during Spring Break from March 30 through April 3, and we have some great events planned for our students.

🥋 Belt Ceremonies
Monday March 30
Tuesday March 31

Students who tested will celebrate their hard work and receive their new belts during these special ceremonies.

📅 Normal Class Schedule
April 1 through April 3

All regular classes will run as scheduled. Our Application Day (Wednesday and Thursday classes) for the Jr. Samurai and Youth Programs will also be Bring A Friend Days.

👊 Bring A Friend Days
April 1 and April 2

Students in our Jr. Samurai and Youth Programs are invited to bring a friend to class using the invite cards they received from their Senseis in class.

⭐ Spring Break Seminars
Our Spring Break Seminars will be held in the mornings from March 31 through April 2. Do not forget to register for these special training opportunities.

We look forward to seeing everyone in class and celebrating the progress our students have made.
