A brand new member once told me, with total conviction, that she wanted to "get addicted" to working out. That was the last time I ever saw her.
Everyone loves the idea of being in love with lifting. But when you're truly addicted to exercise, you'll find a way to do it whether you're busy, tired, unmotivated, achy, or your beloved hamster died. Not because you're forcing yourself to go, but because you genuinely can't feel right without it. In fact, it takes near-divine intervention to force you not to go to the gym. Even with your family pleading with you to take a rest, you'll wake up at 5 a.m. on vacation at Disney, sneak off to the gym, and work out while everyone else dreams of Mickey. You won't allow yourself to miss a training day because the gym is your happy place and lifting is your therapy, and mainly because you're a bona fide lifting addict.
These are the people Hercules is built for.
