MSBL Braves Fall After Strong Showing By Syracuse Brewers.
MSBL Braves had trouble keeping up with Syracuse Brewers in an 8-1 loss on Thursday.
MSBL Braves opened the scoring in the first after Yasmani Mota singled, scoring one run.
Conrael singled, which helped Syracuse Brewers tie the game at one in the bottom of the second.
Syracuse Brewers jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning after Rob doubled, Bj singled, and Grant singled, each scoring one run.
Nate earned the win for Syracuse Brewers. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and one run over seven innings, striking out 10 and walking one. Joshua Posnick took the loss for MSBL Braves. The righty went five innings, allowing four runs on six hits, striking out four and walking one.
Eric Gardner, Ashby Castillo, Josh Loeffler, and Yasmani Mota each collected one hit for MSBL Braves. Yasmani Mota led MSBL Braves with one run batted in. The shortstop went 1-for-3 on the day. MSBL Braves were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Connor VanDreasson made the most plays with seven.
Syracuse Brewers collected nine hits in the game. Conrael and Rob each collected two hits for Syracuse Brewers. Yale went 1-for-3 at the plate as the leadoff hitter led the team with three runs batted in. Nate threw an immaculate inning in the seventh, striking out the side on nine pitches. Syracuse Brewers didn't commit a single error in the field. Todd had the most chances in the field with 10.
