Some swimming friends to the south!

Today, we spotlight two women that have been with us since our Masters team was established: Laura and Janet.
Both women are BGSC swim parents, and both served on BGSC's board. Laura was also an age group swimmer at BGSC herself before she became a Master.

Thank you for all you have done for our organization over the years, we're so grateful.

Get your sunscreen out, summer is nearly here!

The open water swim schedule is here! Some weekends will have no swim because of a key local race.

Weeknight Swims: Check in 6:30 pm, Swim 7:00 pm

Saturday Swims: Check in 8:30 am, Swim 9:00 am

Only current Team Toledo members can swim. Please join renew your membership at https://www.teamtoledo.com/membership before coming to a swim.

You must be able to swim 400 yards. You are able to swim with a swim buoy if you would like.

Please also wear a RoadID. Our partnership includes a 20% year-round discount that may be used at https://www.roadid.com/pages/groupdiscount -- the code is in your Weekly Update email. RoadIDs are available to slip onto many popular watch bands so you always have it when training.

Local event for swimmers!

We are excited to announce the 55+ Showcase for swimmers aged 55 and above.

This event includes categories for Men & Women in the 50 Yard Freestyle and 50 Yard Backstroke, with age groups ranging from 55-59 to 80+.

This weekend was an awesome weekend for SMSC open water swimming, with a great showing at the Swim To The Moon open water festival. There were at least 9 swimmers in the water from the club.

It ended up being great weather and the water temperature was perfect!
