CrossFit is a general physical preparedness program built on constantly varied, functional movement, executed at high intensity. CrossFit is for everyone because it's scalable for all fitness levels. Humans and nature are full of movement. Our standing, sitting, throwing, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, running, picking things off the ground are all quite natural. They are part of our design just like a bird flapping its wings. These are movements that had arisen spontaneously to life demands. They would be around even if the gym was never created. These natural, primal, movements influence the exercises included in CrossFit’s workouts. All of these aspects are combined into unique, relatively short but very effective workouts (WOD's) that will condition your body in the same way our ancestors would have been required to do in order to survive the elements. We believe fitness is a ready state; a ready state to help you be prepared for what life demands. From your job to playing with your kids to changing a flat tire, having an overall fitness helps these things become easier.
