Minutes count! Someone who is severely bleeding can bleed to death in as little as 3 minutes. The national first responder average response time in the USA is 7 minutes. These statistics show how important it is to have the knowledge to help yourself or someone else to attempt to control life threatening bleeding while help is on the way. A severe bleed could be caused by common situations like vehicle accidents, a bad cut with a kitchen tool while preparing a meal, an accident with tree cutting or yard working tools are just a few examples.

In this world, unfortunately, we also have the risk of being a victim of violence such as knife attacks and active shooters. The priority of this nationally recognized course is to provide you with the knowledge to help yourself or someone else to slow or stop life threatening bleeding until help arrives from public safety personnel and first responders. No medical background is required to participate in this course. You will learn how to identify life threatening bleeding, how to pressure & pack wounds and how to apply tourniquets properly.
