The North Valley Golden Bears Football and Cheerleading program has been a division of the North Valley Club since 1969, which is a non-profit corporation with four divisions of youth sports: Football, Cheerleading, Track & Field, and Cross Country. The goal of the Golden Bears is simple: To provide the youth in the North Valley area an opportunity to learn and participate in a viable sports area.

The North Valley Golden Bears intend to promote a healthy environment for the youth of our community. This achieved by teaching the youth about the fundamentals and rules of the sport, sportsmanship, the love of the game as well as how to take a few knocks and bumps. As part of the Valley Youth Conference, we engage in friendly competition with self-supporting clubs such as ours. The Golden Bears provide competition in tackle football for youth ages 6-14 (placement will be according to your athlete’s age as of 8/1/13). Cheerleaders are ages 6-14 with mascots ages 4-5

Today we honor the life and legacy of Mr. Tex Starr.
For more than 40 years, Tex and the Starr family have been a beautiful family of the Bears organization. A true legend in the Sylmar community, his presence, love, and heart will never be forgotten.
We send our deepest prayers and condolences to the entire Starr family. May Tex rest peacefully, knowing his impact will live on for generations. 🕊️🐻💛🖤

Hello Bear Fam,

Sylmar High Football is excited to host the North Valley Golden Bears football players tonight at Sylmar High as they take on Kennedy High. This is going to be a highly competitive game that you dont want to miss.

Here are the specifics:

Entrance -
Any athlete wearing their Bear jersey will get a free entrance and also one adult free entrance.

Sylmar will set two sets of bleachers on the grass for the kids to enjoy the game (crown of the football field by the scoreboard).

There will be no reentry
You can show up at any time.

Games times
JV 2:30
Flag Football 4:30
Varsity 7:00 pm
