Edible round up from Outdoor Retailer 😋 I went to the show as Tina of Bead by Bead Adventures but, of course, I am also Tina of Quarter Way Inn and always on the hunt for new stuff for the resupply shop! And I found some goodies!

On Trail Bars Good, clean ingredients with more than just peanut butter and chocolate options: the blueberry sample was the best thing I tried at OR!

Nomaste Meals All smiles, Indian flavors, great packaging, plus they’re vegan and gluten free!

Bowl & Kettle Happy to meet Sarah and see her crushing it in person.

NoNormal ™ I do love the ritual of brewing coffee in the woods, but I can see the appeal of a tasty coffee from a tube that requires nothing but water and a cup.

WildBatch Obviously not edible, but if you want clean hands before you eat, this powdered all in one soap is the ticket!

PUPPACKR This one’s for your four legged friends but they deserve a good meal on trail, too!

Trail Goods Co. | Camping & Backpacking Meals So nice to meet Luke in person and wow he makes some tasty curry!

High Camp Classy and functional drink ware that’ll keep things hot or cold (and thanks for the wine!)

“Let’s go on a hike!” But the “and I will stop every five seconds to take a picture of my products out in the wild” is silent. 😬

Shot list:
✅ PCT earrings on the PCT
✅ PCT necklace on the PCT
✅ Timberline Trail necklace on the Timberline Trail
✅ Wonderland Trail necklace on a tree that looks like it could be on the Wonderland Trail

After the hubbub of PCT DAYS we had a slow morning in Cascade Locks. After breakfast, we finally got ice cream (why it closes so early we’ll never understand!). We took a stroll to the now-deserted Thunder Island, where we ran into the First Family of Fun and Functional aka Jolly Gear .

We stocked the cooler (aka a Rumpl blanket) and then we retreated to Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood. Two years ago, when I went to PCT Days as a volunteer, I walked from Cascade Locks to Timberline Lodge. Driving was a lot easier but a little less fun, even though we did get to cheer for dozens of firefighters as we drove by them.

We admired the art, took a swim, and even went on a quick 4 mile hike in the morning - with our coffee - and took some product shots. I am absolutely enamored with the history of Timberline Lodge. It was a WPA project and is proof that when a government wants to do good works for its people, it can.

I am so thankful for my family for coming out and helping this little entrepreneur go after her dreams! They got a crash course in thru-hiker culture and were sports throughout - even if someone* got a little frazzled at times.

*The someone is me.

Woweewowwow, Y’all! I could not have asked for a better time at PCT DAYS 😍 It was hard to imagine, but day two was even more fun than day one!! Thanks to everybody who stopped by the booth, said hi, shared a story, bought some jewelry, took a bribe 😉, and spread the word throughout the festival! My heart is so full. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! ❤️

I may be the new kid on the block, but I’m thrilled to be on the block at all!

Day 1 of PCT Days was so much fun!!

This 19 foot pool noodle Bead by Bead on the PCT necklace might be my favorite thing I’ve ever made! Come see it and regular human size trail necklaces this weekend at PCT Days! We’re the last booth near the water!

Are you answering the question “Where do you live?” with one of these:

✅ “Well, my stuff is in storage in xyz.”
✅ “On trail.”
✅ “My parents live in xyz, so I’ll go there.”
✅ “I’ve got x miles to figure it out!”
✅ “I have a friend in xyz so I might go there.”
✅ “I sold my house and got rid of all my stuff, so IDK”
✅ “I think me and Smelly Racoon are gonna get a place.”
✅ “In the moment” (My personal favorite)

If any of these sound like you, now is the time to start making a plan to vote in November. Depending on the state, you’ve got options: absentee ballot, new registration, early voting, day of, maybe more. The point is to start figuring it out now, before you miss any deadlines. A good place to start is vote411.org. You’ll find a map that links to each state’s Board of Elections with more info.

Hot hikers vote, especially when the world is on fire. 🌎 🔥

If you want a Hot Hikers Vote button, come see me at PCT Days.

As a business I have a much smaller and rather obscure selection of music to use for reels. So I love when a search for my reel’s topic returns an absolute banger like this one! Can’t really understand all the words, but the vibe comes through: do what you can with what you have. And I have a laminator. 👍
