Sylacauga Aggie Tennis Spotlight: Thank You, Sylacauga Parks & Recreation
Through the years, Sylacauga Parks & Recreation has played a major role in keeping the Sylacauga tennis program thriving.
Sylacauga is fortunate to be one of the few communities our size that has remained committed to supporting tennis by providing a tennis professional through the Parks & Recreation program. That commitment has helped create opportunities for generations of players in our community.
Because of that dedication, many Sylacauga student-athletes have developed their skills, competed at a high level, and gone on to earn college scholarships while pursuing the sport of tennis. It’s a great example of how a small community investment can produce tremendous results for young people over time.
We are especially thankful for individuals who have helped make that possible. Randy Carter, who served as Sylacauga’s tennis professional for many years, worked with countless players who later competed for Sylacauga High School.
Today, that tradition continues with Wesley Coleman, who provides instruction for players who want to improve their game. One of the things that makes Sylacauga unique is that quality tennis instruction is available here at rates far more affordable than what is typically found in larger cities with private clubs and academies.
Sylacauga Parks & Recreation continues to show its commitment through improved facilities and ongoing investments in tennis, helping ensure that the next generation of players will have the same opportunities.
From all of us in the Sylacauga Aggie Tennis program, thank you to Sylacauga Parks & Recreation for your continued support and belief in the future of tennis in our community.
Thank You from the Aggie Tennis Family!
