Maryland Sting recognized Katelyn Waguespack with their Sportsmanship award, During Saturdays games Katelyn faced a pretty serious setback: she possibly broke her finger and she wasn’t even sure she would be able to play.
Instead of giving up or sitting on the sidelines, Katelyn came out on Sunday and she pushed through the pain, adjusting her play to bat left-handed and remaining on the field. Her unwavering commitment ensured that her team had the crucial nine players they needed to finish the tournament. Without her heroic effort, they might not have been able to complete their games and go on and win the championship. Congratulations Katelyn
