⚾️ Big things are happening at the Roy Johnson Baseball Fields! ⚾️

A huge shoutout and thank you to James Swinehart and Buck Howser for donating their time and talents to paint the batting cages. Rodda Paint in Albany for the donation of the paint. Your hard work is making a tremendous difference for our players and families.

We would also like to recognize Kylan Walker and Walker Heating & Air Conditioning for pressure washing and helping prep the facility. Your generosity and community support are greatly appreciated!

Projects like these are only possible because of amazing volunteers and sponsors who believe in our youth. Thank you for helping us continue to improve our facilities and provide a great experience for Sweet Home Youth Baseball players. ⚾️💙

⚾ A Reminder from SHYBA: Sportsmanship Matters ⚾

As we continue through our baseball season, SHYBA would like to remind all players, coaches, parents, and spectators that we are committed to upholding our organization’s code of conduct and creating a positive environment for everyone involved.

Baseball is more than wins and losses — it’s about developing character, teamwork, and respect. Our umpires, coaches, volunteers, and players dedicate their time and effort to make this season possible. Umpires, in particular, have an incredibly challenging job and deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect at all times.

We ask everyone to remember:
⚾ Respect umpires and their decisions
⚾ Encourage players and teammates positively
⚾ Lead by example through good sportsmanship
⚾ Keep comments and behavior appropriate from the stands and dugouts
⚾ Help us create an environment where kids can learn, grow, and enjoy the game

The way we conduct ourselves matters. Thank you for helping SHYBA remain a place where respect, sportsmanship, and love for the game come first.

Parents, if your player received the wrong size hat yesterday, they have been noted and will receive an additional hat once the new shipment arrives. We ran out of some sizes, which is why the incorrect hats were distributed.

Your player is welcome to keep the hat they received, and they will also be issued a properly fitting one when the new hats arrive on May 7.

In the meantime, any player who did not receive the correct size does have a hat to use.

Moving forward, please make sure your player is properly sized and that the correct information is written down during tryouts—this helps us avoid these issues.

Thank you Sweet Home High School Baseball for putting this clinic on. This was a great event and the kids learned specialized skills along with a fun scrimmage at the end. It was great that the kids got to learn important skills from the varsity players! The future of Sweet Home Baseball is bright!
