The reality of racing. 💔❤️‍🩹
We’ve been looking forward to Nationals, but unfortunately we’ve had to make the difficult decision not to make the trip to Indiana.😭

After Lola’s car sustained damage that needs repairs, combined with the awful weather forecasts and a few other circumstances that are out of our control, it just isn’t the right decision for our family this week.

The kids are disappointed & honestly, so are we. They’ve worked incredibly hard for this opportunity, and we know how much it meant to them. But if racing has taught us anything, it’s that things don’t always go according to plan. Sometimes you have to adjust, regroup, and focus on what comes next!😊

We’re so grateful for everyone who supported Evan and Lola along the way—whether you ordered bread, bought cookies, shared a fundraiser, sent encouraging messages, or simply cheered them on. Every bit of support helped make this journey possible & helps repair Lola’s car. 🤪💖

Right now, our focus is getting Lola’s car repaired & getting ready for the next Nationals opportunity. While Indiana isn’t in the cards this time, we’re hopeful we’ll still be able to compete in the remaining Dirt Nationals events this season.🤞🏼

Lola took a little ride up the wall today.🫠 Her car might be pretty damaged, but the first thing our girl said was “Can I go back out?”😢💖 She’s a little beast! [this is all after her wheel completely fell off during warmups, sending her car into a full speed spin 😵‍💫]
🔧The damage might throw a wrench in our plans for this week. But we will see how everything plays out!

🌟Evan decided he’d like to take his asphalt car & make it another dirt car for senior animal, so he’s going to be sitting out of asphalt for a while [maybe the whole season.] Asphalt racing isn’t his vibe, but Lola loves it!🙌🏼

The formula was baddd fast today.
In feature 2 Evan was running second for a while but spun & had to restart in the back. He just couldn’t get back in the groove after that.

We had so much fun racing at Keystone this week!! Lots of great, friendly racing & we can’t wait to go back! 😊

What an awesome way to end Evan’s birthday! He was lucky enough to start both features on the pole. Ev was the only Light World so they combined him & the only Heavy World for the feature. He took off & never looked back!
Light 160 was another exciting race…he kept the lead the entire time and navigated lap traffic beautifully. 🏁

An uneventful race for Lo, but she continues to improve & gets more confident in Junior Honda every race.💖 She has really enjoyed racing at Keystone this week!
