Did you know that Goeikai was introduced to the USA by Mike Jones Sensei.

Jones Sensei began his study in the Miyazato Eiichi lineage of Gojuryu in 1977. After the passing of Miyazato Sensei he followed Iha Koshin Sensei to the Okinawa Gojuryu Karate-do Kyokai until his passing in which he then trained under Nakamoto Kiichi Sensei of the Okinawakan and became the first person to introduce Okinawakan to the USA and became president of Okinawakan International.

In 2019 Jones sensei began training under Shimabukuro Kenei Sensei and Ganaha Hiroshi Sensei of the Okinawa Gojuryu Karate-do Goeikai. Jones Sensei was the first person in the America’s to introduce the Goeikai, and it is through his efforts that Goeikai has began to grown in the USA.
