A few quick updates for today… here we go

THIS IS THE FINAL WEEK TO WEAR T-SHIRTS!! Next week everyone should be back to wearing full dobohk, NO exceptions!
LABOR-DAY WEEKEND.
Studio Closed Saturday through Monday… classes resume on Tuesday!

DODGEBALL NIGHT (Bring a NON-Karate Buddy)
IT'S BACK!
A few years ago we hosted a dodgeball night and it was a BLAST!
We are bringing it back again to unwind after a busy few weeks of Back-to-School. 7 to 12 years old ONLY (don't want big teens throwing balls at smaller children). The only requirement is that everyone MUST bring a non-karate buddy. (Maybe we can get them to sign up and train with you) We will serve snack and drinks afterwards. Should be a great time!

$10 to get in (to help pay for snacks)
Saturday October 3, 2026. 5-7pm

RMAI NEWS UPDATE

Good afternoon everybody, a few important things to remind everybody about today. Make sure you take note of all the upcoming events and scheduling changes as we begin the last month of summer. Remember new schedule begins today with the combined Young gladiators class. Green belts and above have an extra 15 minutes of practice time after the white belt through yellow belts get dismissed at 6:00. Also be aware that this is the final month for wearing T-shirts in class, after Labor Day we are back to full dobohk. OK, here is the rest of the news.
TODAY!! NEW SCHEDULE -EFFECTIVE AUGUST 3rd
As we begin the final month of summer, we are set to begin our new schedule, which will carry us to the end of the year. Starting on Monday August 3, Young Gladiator class will return to the popular format which was both groups being combined into one time slot, in addition the students who hold ranks Green Belt and above will stay for an extra 15 minutes to focus on their intermediate and advanced material. This format was implemented last year and was very well received. In anticipation of students going back to school the final week of August and into first week of September, we are making available both a 4:30 and 5:00pm time slot to allow for extra time to get the children home and get settled.

ALSO… we are adding a Teen/Adult Beginner class Tuesday evening 8:00 -8:45pm White through Purple.

RMAI NEWS UPDATE 7/23/26

Good Evening! Important information enclosed …read all of it!!

BEACH WORKOUT INFORMATION
This Saturday July 25th will be our annual beach workout.
Meeting Spot: 59th & Beach – Limited Parking available.
Bathrooms are Available.
Dress Code: Two options – 1 Full Dobohk and Belt. (remember undergarments under white uniforms) 2. Black or dark colored swim trunks or athletic shorts with t-shirt and belt.
Time: 8:50am. Class will begin at around 9:00am and last approximately 60-90 minutes depending on age/rank of participants.
After class is over, students will be able to hang out and play on the beach.
OCNJ requires everyone to purchase a Beach Tag which are $10. Normally we finish classes before the beach patrol comes out to check, but be aware, if you walk to the bathrooms, the beach patrol will ask you to show your tag. You are responsible for your own tag and parking.

Hello, I hope you all had a great weekend. Not much new to report today except that we really hope to get the email saying the t-shirts are ready for pick up… you will all be informed as soon as I get that information. Also reminder that this week is NO-BOHK Week.
No-bohk week is a week where students are permitted to wear anything they want to class. Most people wear t-shirt and athletic shorts. The point is to allow students to wear what they normally wear every day.
