To the Clients of Poole Training Center,

It is with the deepest sadness that we write to inform you of the unexpected passing of Melissa Poole Davis, daughter of Blanchard and Debbie Poole, and our valued office manager.

We are profoundly grateful for the many thoughts, prayers, and kind gestures that we have received during this time. Your compassion and support have brought great comfort to our family and team. Please be assured that every horse entrusted to our care continues to receive the same professional attention and dedication that Poole Training Center has always provided. If your horse is currently in training with us, we remain fully committed to its continued progress and well-being. Any necessary billing adjustments will be made accordingly.

We deeply appreciate your patience, understanding, and kindness as we navigate this difficult period. Thank you for your continued trust and for being a valued part of the Poole Training Center community.

Maestro is the 2024 son of Everdale, the Dutch Warmblood Olympic dressage medalist. (see info below) Maestro’s dam, Bengala, has a wonderful dressage lineage. Nube III was a Spanish champion and Malandante did well in the USA. Bengala has beautiful, big, forward movement She was a wonderful and kind mother who imprinted her sensible and trusting nature onto Maestro.
Maestro is already “naturally” exhibiting the foundations of dressage while at play in the field and proving to be the “mini-me” of his sire Everdale ( grand-sire the late Negro). Maestro has the agility, cadence and flexibility of a more mature c**t. His balance, at his age, is exceptional. He is very intelligent and rates high in trainability.

Bengala is a lovely and kind heterozygous grey mare. She has wonderful big forward movement and a strong dressage lineage. Malandante did well in the USA while Nube III was a Champion in Spain.
Beautiful Bengala is stunning with her spectacular blue eye – a kiss dating back from the Renaissance days of Andalusians.

On Friday , June 6, 2025, Tem was laid to rest here at Poole Training Center.

No matter how long we are in the horse business this only gets harder for Blanchard, Debbie and myself each time we have to say good-bye to a very dear friend and part of the family.

I know for many of you this will be very difficult news to receive as many of you loved Tem as much as all of us here.

“Tem was a very special horse, he was so sweet and kind, which I know came from his great owners and trainers, the Poole’s, he was one of the best behaved stallions I’ve seen and I’m so happy I was able to help take care of him this past year. I’ve always loved animals and up until now I’ve never had any of the horses I care about put to sleep and as much as I know it needed to happen, it doesn’t make it any less gut wrenching, but it does bring me peace to know he is running around free of pain in horsey heaven (he’s probably looking for his past girlfriends, or new ones.) His memory will always live on at Poole Training Center because he made such an imprint on everyone he met that there will never be a world in which he is forgotten, rest in peace Temmy”
