Meet Jim Carella — AKA Jimbo Pickleball!
With more than 47 years of experience, Jim Carella is a Hall of Fame Tennis and Pickleball Professional bringing decades of expertise, passion, and enthusiasm to the court at The River Club.
Jim’s impressive career includes serving as the former Director of Pickleball at TPC Sugarloaf Country Club, a PGA TOUR-affiliated club in Duluth, Georgia, as well as Director of Tennis at Laurel Springs in Suwanee, Georgia, and Palm Desert Resort Country Club in Palm Desert, California.
A certified professional through ARSA, RSPA, PPR, and USTA, Jim is also a published contributor to more than 20 books, magazines, and professional journals. He has shared his knowledge and love for the game across five Southeastern states through the Luna & Jimbo Pickleball Camps.
Known as Jimbo Pickleball, Jim combines extensive professional experience with a genuine passion for helping players elevate their game, build confidence, and enjoy every moment on the court.
