Today was freaking awesome.
I headed to the range with my new CZ 457 LRP build, along with my new gongs from Atlas Target Works and the new Garmin Xero chronograph. 3rd shot downrange connected with the 8” gong at 300yds, and it just got better from there. The Garmin Xero is magical, I haven’t the slightest idea how it works, but it’s making available buckets of data that hopefully will be useful. If you’re into knowing projectile speeds, from paintball to archery, BB’s to big bores, this unit is for you, and worth the investment. The MDT Sporting Goods ACC Premier chassis is fantastic, I’m absolutely thrilled with the fit and finish, it is hands down a top notch product. The Spearhead Machine tuner/break not only looks great, it virtually eliminated all muzzle rise entirely!! The Area 419 30moa rail and rings were the perfect combo for this rifle, and I think for the time being I’m going to stick with the Timney Triggers trigger, it was breaking very nicely. Some minor tweaking is still necessary, but I think this will be another spectacular shooting rifle to play Long Gong with!

I am absolutely thrilled with my latest creation.
I started with a CZ 457 LRP (somewhat rare here, they didn’t import many into the US) that I acquired from a friend. I replaced the trigger with a Timney trigger set at around 6oz. The chassis is an MDT Sporting Goods ACC Premier, in FDE, which I matched with the FDE VLTOR ModPod bipod. I opted for the Area 419 30moa rail, along with the Area 419 match rings, which support a Bushnell XRS 2 Elite Tactical 4.5-30x scope. The final piece of the package should arrive tomorrow, which is the Spearhead Machine tuner/brake.
If this gun shoots half as good as it looks, I’ll be unstoppable!! Look out Long Gong, it’s game time!! Hahahahaha hahahaha!!!
