The City of Surprise Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for recreational and special event programming, facility operations and ground maintenance of existing facilities and city parks. The Surprise Parks and Recreation Department offers programs for people of all ability levels.

Celebrate Independence Day with an unforgettable evening of food trucks, music and our BIGGEST fireworks show yet! In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, join us Saturday, July 4, at Surprise Community Park and Mark Coronado Park.

Join the Valley Vista Basketball Camp and build your basketball fundamentals through skill-based drills, games, and instruction designed to help young athletes grow on and off the court.

Ages 7–10: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Ages 10–15: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

The Marley Park Splash Pad will be closed tomorrow, June 10, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. due to a water line repair.

Looking for another place to cool off? Visit one of our other splash pads:

Join the Surprise Youth Council at the Surprise Regional Library for a high-energy night of foam-flying fun! Kids ages 9–14 can team up, make new friends, and battle it out in a friendly competition.
