Onto new things / next chapter. It was time to let someone enjoy the boat more than we could. She’s remaining in the gulf and wish the new owner best of luck. Need some charter captain recommendations!

Quick trip Sunday was not as calm as anticipated. Steep rollers and short period waves greeted us with a rough ride out to the snapper grounds. No current this trip which allowed us to stay on the school. We boated 4 lane snapper, 6 nice reds and a bonus ling we were able to entice away from another boat.

Left dock at noon back in Houston by 7:30

The autopilot was down this trip, turns out it was a loose wire which wasn’t found until back at dock. It made it fun to steer the entire trip again 🙄

Good day deep dropping for tile. Had Michael, Adam & Keenan on the boat, fun trip fellas.

Dodged storms this morning but ended up at an old snapper spot that paid off. I had Russ and his buddy Jeff on the boat today for the last day of Federal Red Snapper season.

Never leave the boat even if you’re floating next to it. These guys were very very lucky. Yes it capsized, yes they went adrift for 3 hours. It’s easier to spot a boat hull than two people floating. Safety first!

Ice cream conditions Friday. Keenan caught the first African Pompano for the boat. We had one knockdown trolling but pulled the hook.

The illusive or “endangered” Red Snapper, which now closes Friday morning at 12:01am. But, Amberjack opens back up at that same time.
