Sight casting to schools of bull reds on fly. Watching these giants eat right in front of us, then absolutely burn up a 9wt.

Congrats to Jamie on these giants! Jamie has been fishing with me for a long time, and we’ve shared a lot of great days on the water—but I think this one tops them all. What a day.

Big shoutout to my boy 201 Flies for the Hollow flies. What Nick spins up is TOP TIER, and these bulls definitely approved.

Well, couldn’t ask for a better first fish on the new sled. 🤯

Daniel Lawson and I sight-casted a wahoo no more than 15 feet off the stern.

The fish came right up to the boat, and we flipped a live pogie in front of him on a 5000-size reel. We thought we spooked him… but he ate it so fast we didn’t even see it happen. The reel just started SCREAMING.

One of the sickest sight-casting moments I’ve ever experienced — on a species, 15 miles offshore, that you’d never expect to get a shot like that on.

44 pounds. What a special moment. I won’t forget that one.

BTW… got a new boat.

It fishes. 😂
