Another great day on the water with a great group of guys!

We had success on topwater, soft plastics, and hard baits throughout the day. With these cooler nights, I do feel like the fish are becoming more sensitive to temperature swings. We covered a lot of water and worked several different areas before noticing a pattern—the most active fish were consistently relating to a specific type of bottom.

Years like this remind me why time on the water matters. Conditions can change quickly, and sometimes the difference between a slow day and a great day comes down to recognizing small details and adapting. Experience pays off, and it’s rewarding when those lessons learned over the years come together.

Another epic guys trip in the books here at Steller Angler!

The crew got to chase big schools of fish across the flats, battle giant bluefish that were absolutely bullying us, and hook into over-slot fish on bait with Capt. Daniel. Safe to say the boys were fired up!

The fishing around Topsail Island is heating up in a big way and the summer bite is starting to turn on. We still have some dates available, and if you’ve got a larger group, we can accommodate that as well.

The bite finally flipped for us and we’re officially back in full swing. Fingers crossed it stays this way.

This week’s fishing has been outstanding with double ups, explosive topwater eats, and some awesome sight-casting opportunities. We’ve been seeing fish act the way they should this time of year and it finally feels like we’re getting out of that never-ending spring pattern. The fishing is turned ON.

I’ve had a lot of success this week throwing soft plastics and topwater in different scenarios. Capt. Daniel has been getting it done with cut bait and live mullet, while also mixing in topwater and soft plastics throughout the week as well.

The weather has lined up, the fish are feeding, and it’s a great time to get on the water. We still have dates available, so give us a shout and let’s get you booked for your next fishing adventure. Let’s get to work.
