Most women think getting “toned” means losing weight.
But that’s not actually what changes the shape of your body.
Think of your body like a suitcase.
A suitcase packed full of bulky winter clothes takes up a lot of space.
Now imagine putting those same clothes into vacuum-sealed bags.
The suitcase still contains the same clothes. The weight barely changes. But suddenly everything takes up less space.
Your body works similarly.
Muscle is dense and compact.
Body fat takes up more space.
That’s why two women can weigh exactly the same but look completely different.
One may appear softer.
The other may appear firmer, tighter, and more defined.
If you’ve lost weight but still don’t like how your body looks, the answer may not be to lose more weight.
The answer may be to build more muscle.
Because “toned” isn’t a weight.
It’s a body composition.
And muscle is what gives your body shape.
