Random customer conversation today that actually taught me something new.

A customer came in and bought a couple scoops of fathead minnows, so I asked where she was headed fishing.

She laughed and said, “I don’t fish.”

Turns out, she stocks her pond with fatheads because they eat mosquito larvae and help keep the mosquitoes down naturally.

I had honestly never heard of that before, but now I’m curious — has anyone else used fatheads for mosquito control in a pond?

Pretty cool little bonus use for bait minnows. 🐟🦟
