When you see snow starting to accumulate, you can't help but get excited! 🤩

6AM Dutchman area report .

The system came through and dropped around 6-8" total of snow and has now tapered off .
What we did get will more than likely melt off ( low 40's next week ) but will remain in some shaded spots and higher elevations where the temps dont dip that low.

Sunriver ToyHouse is closed during the off-season from

No cars, no worries! Did 30 miles with the eBikes for lunch yesterday and had the best views!

The gates are opening for access to the public 5/7! - however be sure to check resort websites and recreation.gov for specific campground opening dates as they do not necessarily open the same day. Most will be soon after or later in the month.

Cascade Lakes Highway and Paulina Lake Road are set to open for the season. The Deschutes County Road Department will open both roads on Thursday, May 7 at 8 a.m.

Please note: Cascade Lakes Highway is currently accessible from the south to Lava Lake via S Century Drive (42 Road).

In a typical year, it can take up to six weeks to clear snow from Cascade Lakes Highway and Paulina Lake Road. However, because of this year’s warm winter and limited snowfall, road crews have been able to finish the work more quickly.

As always, conditions can change quickly at higher elevations. Plan ahead and check for updates before you go.

Heads Up Folks! We have about a foot of new snow!... Setting the stage for an awesome weekend with blue, sunny skies forecasted. This makes it the best time to go snowmobiling!
