Prenatal yoga has been one of the biggest blessings during this journey โ€” helping me stay grounded, connected to my body, and calm through all the beautiful (and sometimes very real ๐Ÿ˜…) changes of pregnancy.

As an 85-hour certified prenatal & postnatal yoga teacher, and a mama personally walked his path recently, I understand how important it is to feel supported, safe, and empowered during pregnancy. ๐ŸŒฟ

Returned to Bali after two years awayโ€”after the sacred, exhausting miracle of giving birthโ€”felt like stepping back onto a path my body remembered even before my mind did. Here, on this island where breath moves with the ocean and time softens, my yoga practice returned to me like an old friend, patient and waiting.

IN MY CLASS breathing through the nose is mandatory. But sometimes I catch a moment like this photoโ€ฆ a student breathing through the mouth, shoulders rising, chest tight, energy spilling out instead of flowing in. We all do it when effort takes over presence. But the body is wiser than we think.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ‘ƒ๐Ÿ‘ƒ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ•‰

Breathing ๐Ÿซduring yoga is not decoration. Itโ€™s the invisible architecture that holds the practice from the inside.

IMPORTANT โš ๏ธ
When we breathe through the nose, tiny receptors in the nasal lining send signals to the nervous system: slow down, soften, balance. The air becomes filtered, warmed, moisturized โ€” prepared like a blessing before it enters the lungs. The diaphragm begins to move like a gentle tide, and the whole body listens.

When we breathe through the mouth, the breath is shallow, fast, almost panicked. Mouth-breathing activates the sympathetic nervous system โ€” the ancient โ€œfight or flightโ€ response. It floods the body with stress chemistry and tightens muscles we are trying to open. Itโ€™s like trying to meditate with the alarm turned on.

Nose ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿ‘ƒbreathing, instead, awakens the parasympathetic system โ€” the healing, digesting, restoring currents of the body. It calms the heart rate, balances oxygen and carbon dioxide, and tells every cell: you are safe enough to soften.

SO, PRACTICE mindfully, practice smart. ๐Ÿ•‰๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ

When I begin an adjustment, the very first thing I do is connect with the breath of my student โ€” the quiet rhythm that tells me where they are, what they need, and how deeply I can guide them. When I teach, something magical happens!

There are no names, no roles, no labels. I become Noone and Nothing - and at the same time I become everything.
I am wholeness. I am presence. I am the universe breathing through me. ๐Ÿ’ซ just pure energy, connection, and breath flowing through every movement. ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธโœจ

When I first met I thought โ€” wow. What a beautiful woman, glowing with calm power and creative spirit. She was building her business with such grace โ€” creating those wonderful yoga mats and divine singing bowls.

Then, before the Yoga Expo , during that magical pre-event evening, she offered us a sound healing session. And again I thought โ€” wow. What a pure, beautiful energy. The connection was instant, like souls recognizing each other.
