You can drink water all day and still run on empty.š¦
Water is the delivery. Minerals are what let it in. Sodium, potassium and magnesium pull water into your cells where it actually gets used. Without them it moves through you and right back out.
A complete profile goes further than those three. Chloride and calcium belong there too. That is what separates a real electrolyte from salt water.
And you lose them constantly. Sweat. Coffee. Heat. Just being awake and working. Especially now during summer āļø
So when you add more plain water on top of that, you dilute what little is left and flush more of it out. More water, less hydration.
Quality matters here, especially if this is the first thing you put in your body. No artificial sweeteners, no fillers, no ingredients you cannot pronounce. Those disrupt your gut lining and your microbiome, and you did not start your morning right just to work against yourself.
š§šStart in the morning. A clean electrolyte or a pinch of quality salt and lemon in your first glass. Before coffee, not after.
This is one of the first things I teach in my wellness programs.
