The Ice Skating Rink will be open beginning October 1, 2023!!! UPDATED HOURS FOR 2023-2024 SEASON:
Public Skating Sessions are held:
Wednesday 1:00pm to 3:30pm & 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Friday 1:00pm to 3:30pm & 7:00 to 9:00 pm
Saturday 1:00 to 3:30pm & 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Sunday 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm

Admissions for skaters
Adults: $7.00
Students: $5.00
Skate Rentals: $3.00

***There will be no public skat

ing sessions during the day Monday, Tuesday & Thursday***

The Sunbury Community Center is the main entrance for the Ice Rink and houses locker rooms, skate rentals and refreshment stand. The ice rink has been a very popular winter recreation spot for Central Pennsylvania since 1960

The Ice Rink is fully enclosed and is the home ice for the Bucknell University and Susquehanna University Ice Hockey team as well as many youth and adult hockey leagues. Skater aids (looks like a walker) are available for our physically handicapped and beginner skaters. Remember to dress appropriately for skating. You may want to bring hats, gloves and coats because the rink is very cold. You can warm yourself in the lobby by the fire place. Figure skating lessons are also offered by the Susquehanna Valley Figure Skating Club during the season. For more information about skating lessons, please contact Ice Rink for further information.

🏒 DVHL SEASON PREVIEW: STAMPEDE HOCKEY CLUB

The 2026–27 DVHL Season Preview Series continues with the Stampede Hockey Club, an organization entering the new season with momentum, higher expectations, and plenty of unfinished business.

Fast. Hard. Together.

Coming off a strong 2025–26 campaign that featured three DVHL playoff teams, a 14U A American runner-up finish, and an 16U A American DVHL Championship, the Stampede are ready to raise the level again.

This season, Stampede will field five DVHL teams from 10U through 18U, with several groups moving into more competitive divisions. Among the teams to watch are a talented 12U A American squad and the defending champion 16U group, which moves to A National with an opportunity to chase a three-peat.

With 75 players across five DVHL teams, the Stampede remain a close-knit organization built around experienced coaching, player development, accountability, and community. Their style reflects their identity — fast, competitive, structured, and aggressive.

And with tougher divisions come bigger games, familiar opponents, and rivalries that are only getting stronger.

The message for 2026–27 is simple:
Bring energy. Bring effort. Represent the Stampede with pride every time you step on the ice.

Choose from two class times: 4:30 PM or 5:15 PM
