The Ironwood Farms team is ready for some horse showing. 🐴
This Wednesday through Saturday, we are at the Back to Berrien NSBA Futurity with some pretty special horses.
Cole Baker Show Horses, LLC will be in the pen showing the beautiful and extremely talented Forever and Always, better known as Peppermint. This mare has been getting it done all year, already claiming Circuit Champion at Fun in the Sun in Venice and the Circuit Championship at the Virginia Maiden. She is showing zero signs of slowing down.
Equally exciting, WOW SA (CHANEL), will be showing her maiden class in the $10K Added NSBA "THE DAC" $2,500 Novice Horse Open Western Pleasure WITH Cole Baker Show Horses, LLC. By RL Best of Sudden x The Only Leadin Lady, this drop dead gorgeous 2023 AQHA mare has been a long time coming. First time in the ring. Big moment.
Over in the longe lines, Caplinger Quarter Horses will have two of Ironwood's top 2025 yearlings. W***Y BIG ASSETS (Becky) and I'M BRINGING THE HEAT (Leo) will be getting it done!
Lastly, we are thrilled to have Taft Dickerson Show Horses bringing the one and only WILDE CHILD, our girl Izzy to Berrien Springs. Izzy is doing her homework getting ready for the NSBA World Show in Tulsa later this year.
After Berrien, we head south to Fort Worth for the 2026 APHA World Championship Show at Will Rogers Memorial Center (June 19 through July 4).
This is our first time showing at APHA World but have brought a super special mare, HAVING A HAY DAY, our girl Dior. By Hay Goodlookn x House Martini, this 2023 AQHA/APHA mare is making her maiden debut with one of our primary partners MIKE HACHTEL of ESPUELA RANCH. We are super excited, proud, and confident in the team around her. ✨
In addition to Dior; Becky and Leo will also be making the trip to Texas, continuing to represent Caplinger Quarter Horses in the longe line. This is probably going to be the last time seeing this pair before the NSBA World Show and we are pumped.
And for everyone down in Fort Worth at the show, we have a special treat lined up. Future stars: Cool Under Fire (Rambo), Ironwood’s 2-year-old futurity horse for 2026, and Ring of Fire (Johnny), Ironwood’s 3-year-old futurity horse for the 2027 season will be riding around, getting ready for their show careers to kick off. Both of these guys are being prepped by MIKE HACHTEL of ESPUELA RANCH.
