As a trainer, I can’t be more proud of my client Sherry Aneas-Stockton for getting up on stage last weekend and competing In her first show. Sherry has been training with me for 7 1/2 months and has come a long way. She is 53 and acts 24. She has an amazing soul and an amazing personality. She has been bitten by the competing bug. She will be stepping up on stage again on April 9th for a second time.
I’m really proud of her for coming out of her shell and comfort zone.
Congrats Sherry and thank you for being an awesome client and friend.

Edie is 78. She suffers from a neurological disorder that affect the nerves that control voluntary muscles and the nerves that communicate sensory information back to the brain. As a result, her muscles weaken and fatigue overtime. Edie has been working with us for one month two times a week.

In that very short time, she has improved her strength, balance and stamina. In addition to all those gains she clearly has fun doing it!

West Valley Personal Training had a great time at the New Member Meet & Greet yesterday at the Summit Hall (located in Palm Ridge Rec Center). This semi-annual event is a great way to meet some of the Personal Trainers and find out more about our training and classes. The next one will be in March 2022.

West Valley Personal Training is excited to announce its newest Group Fitness Class, TRX (Total Body Resistance Training). Class day/times are currently pending, but the class will be limited to 4 participants at a time. Read the "Class description" below for more information about what TRX is and how it can help you!

Class description:
TRX is a form of suspension training that uses body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to complete the exercises. Modifications are always an option. Movement on a plane. For the duration of this class your body will be suspended while moving forward, backward, or side to side. This class is made effective by its repetition of movement to tone the adjoining muscles.

Freedom. The TRX gives you the freedom of mobility. You are able to move around differently than you would be able to on your own, creating a foundation for core stability. The workout targets all of your muscle groups, but there is a lot of emphasis placed on the core.

Flexibility. Through the class you are constantly stretching between different intervals. Clients who take TRX often report feeling more flexible and gaining an increased range in motion. The breaks in a TRX class are focused on lengthening muscles while also using the straps for actions like opening up chest.
