Not all swim lessons are created equal.
Years ago, I heard someone say that and didn’t fully understand it. Then I stepped into the aquatic world as both a swim mom and an instructor—and realized just how true it is.
Some people think survival swim lessons are “too expensive.” But the truth is, they are absolutely worth it.
In survival swim, your child receives one-on-one instruction tailored specifically to their needs, their learning style, and their skill set. That individual attention makes a huge difference!
Many traditional swim schools offer group lessons. While they may seem convenient, they often mean less time, less attention, and less individualized instruction for each child.
Fun fact: We are certified in multiple forms of swim instruction, including traditional programs. But we’ve chosen to focus our career on survival swim because we’ve seen firsthand the life-changing—and life-saving—difference it makes.
Learning new skills can be hard. It can be scary. Sometimes it’s even a little uncomfortable. But our goal is always to guide students through that process with care, patience and encouragement.
We work hard to make sure every child feels confident in the water while also developing the skills that keep them safe.
Another thing that makes survival swim different is the relationship we build with families. Most of my students’ parents have my cell phone number. They can message me anytime through text or social media. I regularly receive pictures and videos while families are on vacation asking for tips, practice reminders, or advice for time in the water.
The worst thing you can do is put your child into lessons that aren’t focused on survival skills or skill progression once completing our program.
My goal isn’t to keep your child in lessons forever. My goal is to make sure your child is truly safe in and around the water—so they can confidently move on to the next stages of aquatic development without losing the skills that matter most.
Be patient.Do your research.Attend parent days.Ask questions.
We are always here to help—whether through text, social media, or in person. That kind of support and personal connection is something you simply don’t get everywhere.
Your child’s safety in the water is worth the investment. 💙
